Audio Sidechain


The side-chain lets you connect a second audio source to a plugin.  This second audio source can act as a control signal.  For example in Duck the side-chain allows you to trigger Ducks envelope at when a drum hits on the side-chain.

Steps

  1. Open the plugin window for the Devious Machines product you would like to route to and ensure that it is in a mode that receives audio. This is different for each product so please refer to the manual if you are unsure.

  2. Then select the sidechain drop-down menu in the top right and choose the track that you want to route to the plugin.


No sidechain input?


If the sidechain input menu is missing, open the advanced preferences and click enable all
