If you get a series of errors after installing the plugin on a mac which include both:
- Issues creating user library folder (Failed to create messages)
- Problems installing your license (Invalid License Code 3)
Run the Devious Machines Software Manager which will check for and fix any permissions errors.
This only affects some Mac users.

It will run an automatic check when starting. You will see a message if it finds a problem and it will offer an automatic fix.
Technical Note: The underlying problem is that sometimes, for reasons we have never found out, some user's user library folder ~/Library/DeviousMachines or a subfolder becomes read-only or owned by a different user. It may be specific to the Mac version.
